Driver treated following crash

Driver treated following crash

Mount Gambier’s busiest intersection was partially closed during peak hour on Friday afternoon following a vehicle accident.

Emergency services were called to the main corner just after 4pm after a car mounted the footpath and crashed into the front of the BankSA/Westpac building.

MFS, CFS and SES crews worked to remove the vehicle, which crashed through the front doors and came to rest partially inside the building.

It is understood the driver suffered a medical episode and was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.
