Drivers convicted

Anumber of defendants were convicted of driving offences in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court recently by Auxiliary Magistrate Teresa Anderson.


A 29-year-old South East man pleaded guilty to driving whilst his licence was suspended and was not convicted and issued a $500 six month good behaviour bond.


A Port MacDonnell man was convicted of drink driving after being pulled over by police on Sea Parade in Port MacDonnell at 11.13pm on July 13 and recording a BAC of 0.085.


The defendant was convicted and issued with a $900 fine and a six month licence disqualification backdated to the date of the offence.


A 47-year-old Millicent woman was convicted of drink driving after being pulled over by police in Millicent at around 9pm on July 6 and recording a BAC over the legal limit.


She was convicted, fined $500 and issued with a six month loss of licence backdated to the date of the offence.
