Local business O’Brien Electrical Mount Gambier has won the inaugural Safety and Wellbeing Award at the National O’Brien Electrical and Plumbing Conference.

The Mount Gambier team was also a finalist for the Networking Excellence and Excellence in Software and Systems awards.

O’Brien Electrical Mount Gambier director/operations administrator Bonnie Rothall said the annual conference was a chance for the business to network with other electricians and plumbers within the group from across the country, some they work with and others they learn from.

“We are proud to win the award and be recognised for the focus we put on our ‘team’ and the fact we do not have a business without them,” she said.

“Their safety and wellbeing is at the forefront of all decisions we make.

“Congratulations to all other worthy award winners on the night.”
