Farmers stump up to take on Tradies

Cricket will return to the picturesque Furner Oval on Sunday with a light-hearted T20 match.

Billed as farmers versus tradies, the action gets under way at 3pm.

With only 40 overs to be bowled, the match will be played in daylight and will be followed by a barbecue.

It looked as though no cricket would be played at Furner over the summer of 2023/24 as there were insufficient players to field a team in the Millicent/Naracoorte Cricket Association.

However, the Furner Community Sports Club has decided to stage a game at arguably one of the best playing surfaces in regional South Australia.
