Jeff Hodge claimed the $100 winner’s cheque last Thursday at the Mount Gambier Golf Club.
Hodge tore up the Attamurra course with a fine 39 points with birdies on holes 5, 8 and 18.
Kevin Cook claimed second place by virtue of count back after Mathew Dixon, Peter Lock and Jack Jennings also finished on 36 points.
Tim Scarth had the round of the day on Saturday with 38 points.
The Blue Lake Golf Club member obviously enjoyed the challenge of a different course where he claimed the C Grade winner’s cheque from Paul Braithwaite on 34 points.
Popular member and 5GTR radio host Tim Kenny took A Grade by posting 37 points.
Kevin Cook continued his Thursday form to finish bridesmaid again on 36 points.
In B Grade club stalwart Brad Von Duve claimed the first prize by count back from Dave Boyce after both players finished on 36 points.
Boyce was left to rue a double bogey/bogey finish while Von Duve came home with 20 points highlighted by a 4 for 4 points on the 11th.
Pro shots were claimed by Bryan Pink on the 8th and Clint Mitchell on the 16th.
Unfortunately, only Pink was able to roll in his birdie putt with Mitchell letting his 2 footer slide pass.
Mitchell consoled himself with a birdie ball on the 8th along with Nick Black and David McGregor on the 10th.
