Festive hit out awaits

This weekend will be the final round of Mount Gambier and District Tennis Association action before the Christmas break and a well deserved rest for the players.

This week’s report will focus on the E Green Ball and Division 1 competitions.

The match-ups in E Green Ball are West Gambier Red v Mount Schank White, Mount Gambier Green v Mount Gambier Blue, Reidy Park v West Gambier Blue, and Mount Schank Blue v Mount Gambier White.

The ladder currently has West Gambier Red in top spot, Mount Schank Blue in second and Mount Schank White in third, followed by West Gambier Blue, Mount Gambier Green, Mount Gambier Blue, Mount Gambier White and Reidy Park.

West Gambier Red and Mount Schank White is tipped to be the match of the round as Mount Schank will look to keep climbing up the ladder.

The clash between Mount Gambier Green and Blue will also be a great match, while Reidy Park will face a tough match against West Blue as will Mount Gambier White against Mount Schank Blue.

Mount Schank will take on Uniting in Round 10 of Divsion 1 competition, while Centrals/Uniting/Gambier will be up against Glencoe and West Gambier faces Reidy Park.

Glencoe and Centrals/Uniting/Gambier will be a tough match up against the top teams as Centrals/Uniting/Gambier are in form for another premiership, while Glencoe has only found its way to the winners list this year and is yet to experience a defeat.

Mount Schank will look for its first win against Uniting and West Gambier will be keen to hold its place at third position on the ladder against Reidy.
