Fire season extended

The SA Country Fire Service has officially extended the 2023/24 Fire Danger Season for another two weeks for the Lower South East.

The Lower South East 2023/24 Fire Danger Season commenced on November 22 and was originally intended to end on April 15 in conjunction with the Upper South East, but will now end on April 30.

The Upper South East danger season will still end on April 15.

The Fire Danger Season generally runs from November through to April, although these dates may change due to seasonal conditions.
