UPDATE: The CFS remains on scene at a large stubble fire 18kms north east of Meningie in the Coorong.
Due to the hard work of CFS firefighters, supported by local Farm Fire Units and aircraft this fire currently poses no threat to the community.
The efforts of all crews on site resulted in successfully saving two properties and a significant amount of farm land from damage. The fire has burnt approximately 535 hectares, with a perimeter of around 14kms.
CFS firefighters will remain on scene working with favourable conditions overnight to continue to extinguish and patrol the fireground.
Roads are currently open around this incident, however, this may change at short notice. Continue to monitor at: traffic.sa.gov.au.
Emergency services will be working on and around roads in the area, and motorists are advised to stay away. If you need to travel on roads in the area, please take care and drive to the local conditions.

The Dukes Highway has been closed between Bordertown and Keith due to a grass fire.
The CFS is responding to the fire at Cannawigara on the Dukes Highway, with warnings in place for those in the area.
CFS volunteers on six trucks, supported by Farm Fire Units and Country Fire Authority (CFA, Victoria) are on scene working to extinguish the fire. Crews are also being supported by South Australian Police.
The fire is one of several burning in the region, with a large fire also burning at Malinong (near Meningie), with 29 fire crews tackling that blaze, along with seven aircraft.
