Hatherleigh will host round 8 of the Limestone Coast Women’s Football League Under 16 competition this Friday night.
Ladder leaders Hatherleigh will take on the Tigers.
Hatherleigh had a good win to the tune of 31 points when these teams met back in round 3, but the Tigers were still adapting to game play and working on their team balance.
Since then both teams have finetuned their game plans, with the efforts evident in recent rounds.
Hatherleigh is strong physically and has the ability to move the ball around the ground well and make the most of opportunities when they arise.
The Tigers will need to be switched on right from the start if they are to have a chance of beating Hatherleigh.
They will be looking to Luca Roulstone, Penny Coleman, Eadie Mustart and Georgia Gentile to shoulder a lot of the workload, while Hatherleigh will need the competition’s leading goal kicker Niah Faulkner to kick a bag full and have support from Chloe Belinger, Kalani Dunn and Sebella Coghlan.
This game will be a test of who wants it the most and could well go down to the wire.
Demons v Kyby
The match between the Demons and Kybybolite will also be a test as both sides will be keen to get the points deep into the season.
Neither the Demons nor Kyby started the season how they wanted, but they have gone on to play some great football against particularly good teams and have young players that are still developing.
But both team coaches would be incredibly pleased with the way the girls played and listened to instructions on a Friday night.
The wide-open spaces of the Hatherleigh ground will suit both teams with the way they run and carry the ball and make the most of the possessions they have.
The side that settles early, gets the score on the board and stops their opponents from running free will get the points.
The Demons have some talented players and will look to Elle Guest, Bailey Broome, Jarrah Altschwager and Lilah Rowe and will need them to continue their good form while Kyby will need Evie Koch, Maisy Hoskins, and Keely Rata to rise above.
