The Glencoe Football Club has looked within its own ranks in choosing its 2022 coach.
After four years as assistant coach, home-grown on-baller Tom Edwards has won the key role.
He succeeds Frazer Scanlon who spent the past two seasons in charge.
Edwards played all of his junior football at Glencoe before graduating into the A Grade side in his teens.
The regular interleague and Murray South East zone team member was a part of the Murphies runner-up A Grade sides in both 2008 and 2019.
“We are super excited to have Tom at the helm in 2022 and to see where he is able to take our young side,” said a club spokesperson on social media.
“We are also very pleased to announce that Tom will be ably assisted by senior player Dylan Childs as assistant coach.”
The Murphies have started pre-season training and had social get-togethers.
