Calcutta raffle tickets are $5 each and are available from The Globe Hotel or the Mount Gambier Racing Club Office.

Mount Gambier Racing Club president Brett Watson said the Calcutta is an event not to miss.

“It dropped off a little bit but it is building back up so that’s really coming back to life,” he said.

“It was really good last year so hopefully it will be bigger and better this year.”

“You do not have to have tickets to go to that, that is just to go into the draw to bid on a horse if you want to.”

There will be all-inclusive options of catered and uncatered marquees, members luncheon or general admission including the Beer Garden area with food vans, live music and fashions or tables for reserve in the Bookmakers shed.

There will be a new addition of the SEN Track Marquee with Miles Pfitzner and David Taggart hosting a live broadcast on SEN Track in the marquee with tickets $150 each which includes entry, food voucher, six drink vouchers, race book and Punters Club to buy in to.

“That’s a really exciting marque to be in and it will be a great atmosphere. They try and cheer on a winner and really get up and about,” Mr Watson said.

Mr Watson urges racegoers to buy their tickets early so the club can cater accordingly.

“If you plan on coming, please book your ticket into your marque or get organised just so we can cater to people,” he said.

“Tickets are available at the gate for general admission but if you are looking to purchase a marque ticket, get in early so we can cater for you.

“We have got early bird so the general admission tickets which are $16 online or $20 at the gate.

“We have got plenty of hospitality packages available so they are all available online or by contacting the club.”
