Ian Greenwood secured a narrow win in the Millicent Golf Club Captain’s Trophy on Saturday.
A 45-player field took part in the men’s stroke competition and Greenwood won on a countback with Ben Golding after the pair both scored net 69.
Father-son duo Martin and Geoff Cameron dominated B Grade with the former claiming the win with net 69.
Neil Turner won C Grade and finished four shots ahead of runner-up Adam Lindner.
Virginia DeDonatis won the women’s stableford competition with 44 points.
Runner-up Kathy Sporer finished eight points behind followed by Janet Watson on 33.
Players were forced to battle wet conditions in the men’s stableford competition last Thursday.
It was a tight battle with Liam Chant the victor on 38 points, while runner-up Phil Hunter won a count-back with Vyv Bennison after they both scored 37.
A three-way count-back between Phil Hunter, Bennison and Andrew Ferguson was won by the former after they all scored 21 points.
The Monthly Medal will be up for grabs this Saturday during a men’s stroke round, while the women will play stableford.
Sunday’s schedule is a Pinehurst Mixed Foursomes with the OP Williams Trophy on the line and hit off commences at 11am.
