Star Kalangadoo forward Michael Krieger (pictured below) is trading black and white for blue, white and red in 2023, heading to the Cattery for what may be Casterton Sandford’s last season of Western Border Football.

A premiership player with Kalangadoo and leading goalkicker in the Mid South East Football League for the past two seasons – slotting through 92 majors in the last season alone.

Cat president Dylan Ayton said Krieger’s signing was a valuable feather in the club’s cap.

“He’s one of the most exciting players to watch on game day, he was key in Kalangadoo’s premiership win last year and he’ll help build that drive in the team, bring a new energy to be successful both on and off the field,” Ayton said.

“He’s been at Kalangadoo since he was a kid and it’s such a great club, with great people, so he brings that knowledge and experience of being part of a community club.

“And he’s a great mate, a great bloke and will just be terrific to have around the club.”
