Health care praised

Abrief explanation has been provided for the reason why the Limestone Coast Local Health Network recently sent a letter of praise to Millicent and District Hospital for its “exceptional performance”.

The written statement came from LCLHN acting chief executive Angela Miller via the SA Health media unit.

“We’re thankful for the staff at Millicent and District Hospital and their commitment to providing a high level of health care service,” Ms Miller said.

“We also acknowledge their engagement with organisations such as the Millicent and Surrounds Health Support Group and the Millicent Health Advisory Council to create the best health outcomes for the community.”

The letter referencing the “exceptional performance” was tabled when the LCLHN regional board met in Millicent last month.

The SE Voice subsequently made numerous verbal and written requests for specific details of the letter to a number of health stakeholders including the office of Health Minister Chris Picton.
