A perfect day for bowls greeted players for a 2-4-2 competition at the Millicent Bowls Club recently.

The 48-player field competed over 20 ends and produced some high scores.

The winning team was Robert Atkinson and Steve Carnellor, which lost just four of the 20 ends to compile a score of 36+15.

Runners-up with a total of 34+22 were Peter Dunicliff and Rod Gibbs.

Other winning teams were Lorraine Hyland and Iain Campbell 34+14, Eddie Hann and Neil Whelan 33+4, Ian Kuchel and Aaron Emonson 32+11, Malcom Wright and Brian Roper 32+8, Faye Hill and Peter Varcoe 31+4, Adriana Ross and Wayne Burris 31+4, Andy Kramer and David Reichelt 31+1, Graham Parsons and Ian Ross 30+8, Margaret Fennell and Peter Hyland 30+7 and Robyn Rolfe and Terry Barnes 30+5.

A mixed pairs day will be played this Sunday followed by a men’s fours competition next Thursday.
