Hot pursuit leads to arrest

Police have arrested a man following a pursuit in the South East today.

Just before 3pm patrols attempted to stop a Commodore wagon on Overland Track at Glencoe for a routine traffic stop before the driver sped off.

Patrols pursued the car as it headed to Mount Gambier where it was successfully spiked on Penola Road.

The vehicle was dumped in Yeates Street before the driver, a 25-year-old from Victoria, was arrested in a nearby yard.

He is expected to be charged with a raft of traffic offences.
