Jetty access to be restricted

Jetty access to be restricted

The outer portion of the Beachport jetty will be closed to the general public for the next few weeks as the multi-million-dollar upgrade draws to a close.

The completion date is dependent on weather conditions. Access for the first 200m is allowed but the next 572m is out-of-bounds.

Contractors are back on the job again and require large equipment on the jetty to complete the replacement of the timber decking.

It is expected there will be complete 15-minute closures early in the morning and again later in the day to transport equipment out and back.
