Late Millicent sports identity honoured

Late Millicent sporting and community identity Herb Henderson was honoured at the start of the August monthly meeting in Millicent of Wattle Range Council.

Mayor Des Noll asked those in attendance to be upstanding for a minute’s silence for Mr Henderson, who died last month at the age of 91.

Mayor Noll said he was an elected member of Millicent District Council from 1979 to 1982 and a premiership player for Footscray in the VFL in 1954.
