The weather shone down on Round 5 of the Southern Ports Tennis Association season as three matches were played along the coast.
Beachport looked dominant against Penola and have moved comfortably into second position on the ladder.
Meanwhile, Kingston held top spot with another win, this time over Naracoorte.
Both Lucindale Wombats and Koalas also looked convincing against the Robe sides.
Kingston 17-144 d Naracoorte – 6-87
What a day at Kingston for the grand final rematch between Kingston and Naracoorte. The day was filled with high quality tennis, so many great matches to watch and we all found ourselves trying to keep score of the multiple games going on not wanting to miss a point in any.
The mixed doubles went the way of Kingston winning 4 out of 6.
Daniel Menzel and Kelsie Moyle-Read were too strong for Shaun Mules and Lou Leidig winning that one 6-4.
Tom Handbury and Michelle Moyle-Read were also too strong for Steve Edwards and Alex Menz getting Naracoorte another 6-4 win.
Mens singles and Matt Menz has found his form having a solid win over Max Malone 6-1, plenty of top spin and winners in that game, surprised no one managed to snap a string.
Shaun Mules also having a good win 6-2 over Daniel Menzel, plenty of talent in that game too.
Stephen Biggins and Michael Dugan had a marathon singles game which was great to watch, Stephen just getting the win 7-5 in a tiebreak.
To the women, Kingston had two wins at the top end and bottom end but the Naracoorte women were too strong winning the remainder.
There was plenty on show come the doubles at the end of the day.
We thought we had definitely witnessed match of the day with Abby Mules and Erika Watson taking the win 14-12 in a tiebreak against Lucy Midwinter and Alice Redding.
Abby and Erika had a 6-2 lead, Lucy and Alice came back firing to take it to a tiebreak, they then took a strong lead in the tiebreak 5-2 and Abby and Erika had their turn at a comeback and eventually took the win.
Abby and Erika had eight chances to take out the game while Lucy and Alice themselves had six match point chances.
The game would have definitely clocked over the two hour mark.
Alex Menz and Theressa Mules, and Michelle Moyle-Read and Jen Malone were then so inspired they decided to also have a doubles tiebreak, this one going the way of Alex and Theressa 7-3.
Thanks Naracoorte for coming over to Kingston in what was a great day of tennis, with an amazing afternoon tea put on by the home side.

What a lovely day in Robe it was for a match of tennis, the Koalas got off to a great start taking four of the six mixed doubles. The mixed between the numbers 6s was close the whole match with Koalas’ father and daughter Boyinton duo defeating Rebels’ Warren and Campbell 7-6.
The stand out men’s singles match was between the number 2 men with the Rebels’ Regnier defeating Koalas’ Smart 7-5, this match was of a high standard and competitive nature.
The women’s match of the day occurred between the numbers 4s, this match was full of rallies with many spectators wondering if it would end, the Koalas’ Garner defeated Rebels’ Hensel 7-6.
The top ladies doubles was of a very high standard and a great game to watch for the spectators with Rebels’ Hall and Austin defeating Koalas’ Graetz and Weaver 10-8.
A full Koalas side proved to be too strong for the Rebels on the day getting the two points.
