The ranks of life members at the Millicent Croquet Club have recently been joined by Rhonda Schulz.

She joined the Millicent Croquet Club in season 1993/94 and has been a leader in the club for many years.

Rhonda has served as assistant treasurer, treasurer, association captain from 2000 until 2014 and Millicent South East Croquet Association representative from 2014 until 2021, holding executive positions for a total of 21 years.

Rhonda has been an integral part of Millicent’s association team, competing with clubs throughout the South East.

Being captain has the responsibility to ensure a team was competing each week and her fairness to all players competing, ensuring all players had the opportunity to compete, regardless of ability.

Rhonda also attended numerous tournaments, gala days and fun days to support other clubs.

The presentation was made at the recent annual general meeting.

Life member Ruth Stratford then congratulated Rhonda and mentioned that her life membership was thoroughly deserved and then pinned on the life member badge.

After the presentation, prizes were awarded to players who had competed locally in various competitions throughout Season 2022/23.

Saturday Aussie Competiton: 1st – Wendy Mariager – 218 points; 2nd – Allan Johnston – 197 points; 3rd – Brenda Trotter – 192 points.

Saturday Golf Competition: 1st – Allan Johnston – 66 points; 2nd – Brenda Trotter – 57 points; 3rd – Lois Tilley – 56 points.

Saturday Ricochet Competition: 1st – Allan Johnston – 164 points; 2nd – Wendy Mariager – 143 points; Equal 3rd – Lois Tilley – 132 points / Margo Johnston – 132 points.

Thursday Aussie Competition: 1st – Lynette Hutchesson – 1146 points; 2nd – Sue Hateley – 1142 points; 3rd – Neville Hutchesson – 1140 points.
