Twenty local school children are set to benefit thanks to the generosity from a local organisation.
Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast (RDALC) has donated 20 laptops to a local charity for distribution to local school children.
RDALC chief executive Lauren Oxlade said Four Reasons Why was approached as a Mount Gambier charity that provides support and opportunities to locals in need.
“RDALC provides leadership and small business support throughout the Limestone Coast. The laptops were previously used for training programs and were no longer needed,” she said.
“It was good to see the laptops get a second life assisting school children who otherwise would not have access to their own device.
“One of our strategic pillars is sustainability, and supporting businesses to adopt initiatives that reduce waste and optimise reuse. The circular economy report produced by Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast in late 2022 highlights the importance of keeping resources at their best use, for as long as possible to extract maximum value out of them.
“What better way to demonstrate our own sustainable business practices, than to make a difference in the community?”
