Lynch looks for further success

In-form Murray Bridge trainer Garret Lynch will be hoping to continue the successful run of his stable at Mount Gambier on Wednesday.

Lynch had Sunny Green score at massive odds in the last race on at Morphettville on Derby Day just three days after running at Gawler, while Bon Pegasus was successful on Strathalbyn on Sunday on a four-day back-up.

Well-travelled galloper Harbouring will be chasing a third win in succession when he races at Mount Gambier for the first time on the back of consecutive Port Augusta victories.

You will go a long way to find a busier horse in Australia than Harbouring.

Since coming to South Australia in January 2021 Harbouring has been to the races on no short of 48 occasions.

He won two of 27 starts for Grant Young before joining Lynch on December 1 and has won six of 21 starts over the past five and a half months.

In that time he’s banked connections $152,235 in prize money.

Harbouring will again be ridden by talented young rider Campbell Rawiller who has built an imposing record aboard Harbouring.

They teamed up to win at Murray Bridge back on March 27, again at Oakbank on Easter Monday before maintaining their perfect record at Port Augusta twice in May.

Seven races will take place at the Allan Scott Glenburnie Racecourse tomorrow with action starting from 12.10pm with the Festival Hire Maiden Plate.

Nine horses have nominated for the 1817m race as well as the Budget Rental Cars Mount Gambier Maiden Plate.

There are plenty of recent winners vying for supremacy in the Scott Group of Companies Benchmark 68 Handicap which should be a tight finish with all-but one horse tasting success in their last 10 starts.

Jacob and Jamie Opperman will be hunting for glory in the Carlton Draught Benchmark 68 Handicap with Rohlon Drunk which the former rode to victory in its last and only start in 2022 at Naracoorte.

A big field of 14 horses are on the list for the short 1417 metre Baxter Hire Maiden Plate, while an even bigger pack is set to gallop in the TAB Benchmark 58 Handicap.

A total of 16 entries have been included in the final race of the day which follows the Midfield Group Class 2 Handicap and Carlin and Gazzard Benchmark 54 Handicap.
