Mazda elegance elevated

Mazda’s magic continues to elevate the expectations and standards across the motoring market, with the manufacturers First-Ever Mazda CX-60 now on display and turning heads at OGR Mazda.

The dealership recently handed over the keys to put The SE Voice in the driver’s seat of Mazda’s flagship Azami SP CX-60 to put the mid-sized SUV through its paces.

The latest Mazda out of the stable features a refined exterior with strong, downward body lines that are further enhanced to flow and reflect light across the bodywork, adding depth and impact to the vehicles poised silhouette from all angles.

The sporty, yet sleek design gives the impression the CX-60 sits lower to the road surface despite having ample ground clearance, which is helped along nicely by it’s long and wide stance.

Helping propel the SUV along are three powerplant options, all keeping efficiency and the environment in mind.

Mazda’s dynamic performance meets impressive efficiency through it’s 3.3-litre e-Skyactiv G petrol turbo mild hybrid engine and a combined fuel consumption of 7.4-litres per hundred kilometres, with the manufacturer’s 3.3-litre diesel alternative also available across the range boasting an incredible 187kW of power and 550Nm of torque with equally impressive efficiency.

For those wanting to kick it up a notch, a 2.5-litre petrol Plug-In Hybrid variant is also available to deliver exceptional efficiency as good as 2.1-litres per hundred kilometres with the capability of running in pure electric mode for up to 76 kilometres. All three engine configurations are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive driveline to provide ultimate traction.

There are three grades available across the CX-60 range, with the entry level Evolve starting at $64,878 driveaway with optional luxury and vision packs, the CX-60 GT which adds 20-inch black alloy wheels, heated steering wheel and seats, power tailgate, leather seats with power adjustment, panoramic sunroof and a premium 12-speaker Bose Audio system from $73,198 driveaway with black or Revera Stone leather trim and the option of adding the vision technology pack, while for those wanting all the bells and whistles, the top of the line Azami starts at $78,606 driveaway with the option of tan coloured suede and leather trim in the optional SP pack, or white interior trim as part of the optional Takumi pack.

Mazda has always provided drivers with the feeling of being very much at home behind the wheel of their vehicles and the CX-60 is no different.

With exceptional build quality, stunning exterior styling and premium interior finishes the SUV definitely ticks all the boxes, while ample engine power with smooth delivery, precise steering and an intuitive steering assist that allows the vehicle to effortlessly glide through turns also enhance the driving experience.

There is plenty more than can be said about the First-Ever Mazda CX-60, but the best way to find out more is to visit the OGR Mazda team at 33-41 Penola Road, Mount Gambier or contact the dealership on 8724 1111 to experience the top-quality SUV for yourself.
