Medal ‘Bailed up’

In cool overcast conditions the Millicent Golf Club had 19 women take to the greens.

The women played a stroke round for the monthly medal, putting competition, longest drive and first round of the President Trophy.

Kirsty Bailey took the win in A Grade with a score of nett 73, with Alex Lambert runner up on nett 74.

Karen Altschwager won B Grade on a countback with nett 76 from runner up Carmel Cory.

Kirsty Bailey’s nett 73 was enough to be named the monthly medal winner and receive the Fosters Foodland voucher.

Ball winners were Kathy Webber 75, Julie McKenzie 77 and Val Williams 78 on countback.

The nine hole competition front nine winner was Alex Lambert with 34, while nearest the pin 13th also went to Lambert, 5th second shot (handicap 25-54) Carmel Corey and 17th second shot (handicap 32-54) Liz Redman.

Lambert also won the putting competition with 28 putts.

Bailey continued her good form claiming the longest drive (0-20), followed by Bronwyn Clarke (21-35) and Redman (36-54).
