Mighty helpful, Mitre 10

KNB Mitre 10 Millicent has been ‘mighty helpful’ donating goods to ac.care to help vulnerable people as part of The SE Voice winter warmth community campaign.

The 14 staff donated a range of items including beanies, blankets, jackets, non-perishable groceries, sheets, socks and woollen gloves.

KNB Mitre 10 Millicent store manager Aaron McPherson said it was easy to ask staff to donate towards the initiative.

“We have got a lot of really generous and community-minded people in our store and I thought this is the sort of thing they would be happy to be involved in,” he said.

“We are very lucky to go home at night, have a roof over our head and be nice and warm because it has been a really cold winter so I feel for the people that are doing it tough.

“I hope what we have been able to supply does help and I hope people around the community do understand that our store and our people care.”
