Free COVID vaccinations were accepted by 231 employees, their families, contractors and the general public at the Kimberly-Clark Australia Millicent Mill.
Mill manager Adam Carpenter welcomed the involvement of his company and SA Health in this health initiative.
“It was an honour to be able to host the vaccination hub at the Millicent Mill and it was fantastic to see it well supported by employees, their families and our local community,” Mr Carpenter said.
“I want to thank those who supported this initiative and those employees who are now vaccinated.”
The pop-up clinic ran from 7.30am – 4.30pm each Thursday to the end of November and offered the Pfizer vaccine.
When announcing the KCA Millicent Mill measure, Health and Wellbeing Minister Stephen Wade said the pop-up clinic could provide up to 100 appointments per day.
Vaccinations were provided onsite in a designated area by a team of nursing staff from SA Health, who provided first and second doses to employees, their families and members of the community.
