Millicent Hospital
open day cancelled

Another community event in Millicent has been cancelled on account of COVID concerns.

The Millicent Health Advisory Council was planning an open day for the Millicent and Districts Hospital and Health Service on Sunday, October 24.

“We regret to inform you that due to the ever-changing COVID-19 environment, the council has made the difficult decision to cancel the open day for 2021,” hospital executive officer and director of nursing Michelle de Wit said.

“All the work undertaken to date will not be lost and will form the basis for the 2022 open day.

“We look forward to welcoming the community to the open day next year.”

The previous open day in 2019 featured stalls, entertainment and tours and attracted a gathering of 600.
