Millicent Kennel Club event returns for 2022

Exhibitors are expected to strongly back the annual Millicent Kennel Club show in 2022.

Owing to COVID restrictions which limited travel by interstate judges and competitors, the 2020 and 2021 shows at McLaughlin Park were cancelled.

Hundreds of pedigree dogs will now grace the playing arena of the Millicent United Soccer Club on the weekend of November 18, 19 and 20.

The exact number will not be known until the closure of the entries.

Three of the judges are coming from New South Wales while the fourth is Victorian.

The Millicent championship dog shows will be held on Friday afternoon, throughout Saturday and on Sunday morning.

For many years, the dog shows were held within the showgrounds and coincided with the annual Millicent Show.

However, the move was made to the Millicent United Soccer Club on Park Terrace well over a decade ago.

The shows are conducted under the rules of the South Australian Canine Association.

The Millicent Kennel Club is one of the oldest local sporting groups as it was founded in 1964.
