Millicent project open for tender

Amajor step will be taken in the coming weeks towards the construction of the proposed multi-million dollar office in Millicent for Wattle Range Council.

In a report to council, engineering services director Peter Halton said the landscape request for quote for detailed design at the North Terrace site had been posted on the SA Tender website.

Mr Halton said the closing date was early December.

Meanwhile, Mr Halton said council’s internal Concerns and Opportunities register has been updated to include all feedback from the council’s consultation meetings about the proposed office.

He said the comments have been forwarded to its Mount Gambier architects Chapman Herbert Pty Ltd and council’s four-member executive leadership team for actioning.

“Chapman Herbert Pty Ltd is now able to begin consultation with our consultants Tonkin, Lucid and Chris Sales prior to tendering,” Mr Halton said.
