A man was arrested near Mount Gambier this morning following a suspicious house fire north of Adelaide in the early hours of this morning.
Just before 1am today police and fire crews were called to a home in Elizabeth Vale after black smoke was reported coming from the property.
Attending fire crews quickly extinguished the fire before it could spread to an adjoining property. Thankfully no one was injured.
Police Fire Cause Investigators attended the scene to determine the cause.
A man was arrested over the incident near Mount Gambier about 9.15am this morning.
A 38-year-old Elizabeth Vale man is currently being questioned by police and is expected to be charged with arson.
This is not believed to be a random incident.
