The Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara gets under way again this weekend after the Easter holiday weekend, and the league has four good games to kick the season back into action.
Naracoorte are at home against Kybybolite on Friday in their annual Anzac Day clash.
The Demons will be determined to put in a better performance than the last game, when Lucindale blew them off the park.
Lucas Leehane, Taylor Lawrie and Aaron Slorach have been some positives so far for the Demons. They will need more help if they are to challenge the Tigers.
Kybybolite started the season strongly against Keith, and big recruit Billy Stretch looks like he will be a handful for most clubs to try and stop his influence on games.
Angus McKenzie, Darcy Ewerr and Stephen Craig are other Tigers players who have begun the season in great touch.
The Tigers look like they will be too strong in this contest and should win comfortably.
Padthaway are at home to Lucindale, and this looks like a real toss of the coin contest.
The Lions have been competitive in their first two games of the season so far.
Padthaway recruit Troy Menzel is working his way into the Lions’ game plan and will get better as the season progresses.
Tobin Cox, Riley Faehrmann and Brad Ficken have had a positive start to the season and help form an important part of the Lions’ line up.
Lucindale have also struck some form after they belted Naracoorte. The Roos look to have most of the best players on the park, and the return of Will Gould is a bonus as he put through eight goals in his return game.
Ryan Kemp was dominant in front of the goals with eight goals, and it looks like he will be a great recruit.
Lucindale will start as slight favourites, but you cannot discount the Lions, who are rounding into form and could win this game on their home ground.
Rivals Bordertown and Mundulla face off again at Bordertown, and this will be another hard-fought clash between the two clubs.
The Roosters are yet to have a victory, but they have played some good football in patches in their first two games.
Sebastian Trenordan, Ben Jarrett and Billy Hayes have started the season in great touch for the Roosters.
Bordertown coach Tom Whittlesea will be keen to see his side put four quarters together and take it right up to Mundulla.
Mundulla has got the job done in their first two games as expected.
The Tigers have been led well by the on-ball brigade of Dylan Mosey, Jake McGrice, Dylan Mosey and Elliot Jaeschke.
Their main recruits, Chris Curran and Jacob Pedlar, have added more class to an already strong team.
Mundulla looks to be too strong on paper and should record a comfortable victory.
Border Districts hosts Kingston at Apsley on Saturday in a clash that has a lot of talent across the lines.
The Eagles recorded a round one victory over Bordertown and will be keen to back up that performance.
Star forward recruit Samuel Smith had a good debut for the Eagles with three goals, and the Saints will be looking to shut him down.
The Eagles have plenty of class in Mark Quinn, Joshua Richards and Zac Richards. Josh Cother is a great pickup for the Eagles as well as he adds extra depth to the midfield.
The Saints have also got the job done in their first two games.
Kingston has gotten full returns from their recruits as coach Alex Barns, Harry Tunkin, and Ben Kennedy have shown they will be quite a handful for opposition teams to try and stop.
The additions of Harry and Ben, in particular, allow the Saints the luxury of playing Campbell Watts and Chris Draper more often across the half-back line as they both generate a lot of run for the Saints.
The Saints will go into the game as favourites even though they have not played on the Apsley oval in over 15 years.
