Naracoorte United V International

Naracoorte United rallied back from being down to share points with Inter in a thrilling match.

Inter started well in the first half and capitalised by scoring goals, with Skye Robertson scoring in the 26th minute to put Inter up 1-0.

Inter struck again with Stephanie Gilbert finding the back of the net to put her side up by two and hold that 2-0 margin at half time.

United wasted no time in making a comeback in the second half as Sophie Hole scored a goal in the 55th minute to cut it to a one goal difference.

Inter did well to hold off United’s attack but they struggled to hold them off for the whole half as Ashlea Pilven scored for United in the 76th minute to equalise the game at
 2-2.

As the clock ran down neither side could come up with a late miracle to claim the three points and scores were tied 2-all as the whistle blew, with both sides picking up a point.
Millicent United v Blue Lake
In another drawn match, Blue Lake headed to Millicent on Saturday with the result ending with both sides sharing the points.

Blue Lake took an early lead in the 15th minute from a penalty and Pip Crewe stepped up and nailed it.

Blue Lake’s Adele Wilkinson made a costly error in the 31st minute, scoring an own goal which tied the game, with scores remaining at 1-all at the break.

Blue Lake set the tone straight away in the second half, taking the lead four minutes into the half thanks to a Chelsea Frost goal.

The lead did not last long as Lana Shepherd scored for United to again tie the game in the 55th minute.

Neither side could find the back of the net as the game wound down, resulting in a 2-2 draw with both sides picking up some well needed points.

Apollo V Gambier Centrals

Apollo’s unbeaten streak continued as they defeated Gambier Centrals on Saturday.

It took Apollo no time to grab the lead as Isobelle Frewster scored in the third minute.

Midway through the half Apollo scored again, this time coming from Demi Ingley.

Apollo did well at not letting Centrals make a second half push, holding them scoreless.

Centrals also did a good job defensively to keep Apollo scoreless, and with no goals scored in the second half Apollo closed out the game and picked up another win.

Apollo defeated Gambier Centrals 2-0.
