The winners of the NF McDonnell & Sons Mount Gambier Christmas Parade float competition have been announced.

Mount Gambier City Council Community Events Team Leader Xarnia Keding said Saturday’s “magical event” came to life with the colourful and entertaining entries and floats created by local community groups, schools and many volunteers.

“A huge thank you to all involved in the return of the Mount Gambier Christmas Parade,” she said.

“It was incredible to see the smiling faces and excitement of the children, both lining the streets and taking part in the parade.”

Ms Keding said entries competed for prizes judged on creativity and effort in building the most impressive floats.
