Pioneers fired up for strong 2024 season

It’s hard to think we are on the eve of the 2024 NBL1 South season. The return of basketball to Wulanda for the 2024 NBL1 South season has been highly anticipated for our club, members, sponsor and fans.

I wish to thank OneFortyOne and Castec Rural Supplies who continue to support our club hugely as naming right partners of our respective teams.

Along with our community partners City of Mount Gambier along with our Platinum Partners ASW Lawyers, Philadelphia Cream Cheese and The Commodore.

To all our sponsors and fan’s that continue to support our club the way that you do year in year out – thank you! Competing at this level would not be possible – we cannot thank you for throwing your support behind our club and what we do.

I wish to extend our board’s support to both our women’s and men’s players, support, and coaching staff.

I know our coaches and players have been working extremely hard across the pre-season to ensure that we are prepared for the NBL1 season.

I know that our people will represent our town and community in the right way wherever our teams travel and wear a Mount Gambier Pioneers uniform.

The success of the clubs first season at Wulanda Recreation & Convention Centre along with the two teams competing through to two Preliminary Finals to only go down to the eventual winners of the NBL1 national tournament.

Our club are committed to continue to build on this success and continue to work on improving the game night experience for all that attend our games.

What better way to welcome our community to a double header of basketball at Wulanda in round 2.

We look forward to seeing you at Wulanda! Let’s Go Pioneers!
