Post-war insight

Aglimpse of post-war life in the Hatherleigh and Mount Burr townships will be given at the next monthly meeting of the South East Family History Group on Thursday (June 27).


The guest speaker will be Elizabeth Bonney who spent several years in the small township of Hatherleigh with her parents Mr and Mrs Harris-Bodfish and two sisters Anne and Christine. The family moved to Mount Burr in 1949 where the children attended the primary school followed by Millicent High School.


The meeting starts at 7.30pm and is followed by a pooled supper.
