Pre-Christmas crash claims Glenburnie life

Member for MacKillop Nick McBride was one of the first passersby and rendered assistance at the scene of a tragic crash at Greenways last month.

Just after 3pm on December 21, police patrols and SA Ambulance Service paramedics were called to the Princes Highway and Konetta Road, after a black Ford utility left the road and rolled before coming to rest in a paddock.

The driver and sole occupant, a 34-year-old man from Glenburnie, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to the Mount Gambier Hospital before being transferred to Adelaide.

Sadly, the man died in the Royal Adelaide Hospital two days later.

His funeral is set to be held in Mount Gambier on Friday.
