Race fans revved up for Speedway return

Get ready race fans Borderline Speedway is ready to run this Saturday night with the re -Scheduled South Australian Sprintcar title and round 2 of the Ti Bills Wingless Sprint Series.

After some unkind weather forced racing to be rescheduled two weeks ago, it will be all systems go this Saturday night.

The track and the grounds of the facility will be picture perfect as always thanks to the dad’s army crew who work tirelessly.

A good number of sprintcar nominations ensure there will be some good racing as the throttle stompers are keen to lay rubber down.

Some of those drivers will be Glen Sutherland, Steve Lines, Scott Enderl and Daniel Pestka being the locals with come up against some tough competitors in Luke Dillion, Lisa Walker, Tate Frost and Jock Goodyer and ex Aussie Champ Dave Murcott.

On any given night any one of these drivers can take out the win, but they will have to get through the heat race action unscathed.

The Wingless sprints will also hit the track and these guys and girls will put on some close racing.

This class has been on the improve for many years now with substantial numbers across the country and can be a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

Some of the drivers to watch will be the locals of Mitch Broome, Kirby Hellyer and Rory Button and they will come up against some of the country’s best in South Australian Champion Tyson Martin, Joel Chadwick who was the winner from round one and William Caruso.

Borderline Speedway’s President Cary Jenning said he is looking forward to Saturday night and getting it run and in the books and crowning a champion.

Gates will open at 4pm and racing action will get under way at 5pm.

So, if you are looking to get some racing action in the veins head out to the speedway Saturday Night and support your local track.
