Rally fundraising effort gets rolling

AMount Gambier couple has got the wheels rolling as they gear up to participate in a famous four-wheel fundraiser for the Cancer Council.

Dennis Chapman and Sianne Elshaug will join around 500 other competitors in June for the Winter Shitbox Rally 2024 as they drive from Melbourne to Alice Springs through Queensland in a vehicle worth less than
 $1500.

The pair has christened their Ford Econovan Chris-Dee which has been decorated in paint splatter stickers donated by Kane Ransom from Xpress Signs and Graphics.

People can donate to write the name of someone who is fighting cancer or has tragically lost their battle to the disease on the adhesives, with 15 of the 60 stickers written on.

The Rocks and Feathers team has raised around $2000 of their $5000 total and will host a silent auction in April for which they are appealing for donations.
