Regional play resumes

It may have only been 14 days, but it felt two years and finally community sport is back in the Limestone Coast.

Smiles and celebrations will return to venues across the region this weekend after the South Australian Government lifted its ban on indoor and outdoor sport at midnight on Tuesday.

The anticipation for sport to return was so high that many clubs and organisations were hastily preparing for events this weekend well before restrictions were lifted.

But for play to begin, all teams, leagues and events must have a COVID-Safe plan, while everyone who attends needs to scan a QR code on the mySA GOV app or record attendance on paper for contract tracing purposes.

It will be a welcome relief for sports fans and players alike and they are in for a treat with a huge weekend of action ahead.
