Port MacDonnell travelled to Kingston to play in the Champion of Champions 4s with great success.
Tim Wrightson (sk) Wayne Dowdell, Keith Dowdell and Barrie Schmidt defeated Lucindale, Penola and Mount Gambier RSL before proving too good for Mount Gambier – 17-7 to take out the title .
The Port MacDonnell triples of Adam Wilson (sk), Chris Richards and John Broadbent travelled to Lucindale and had a bye in the first round then defeated Naracoorte RSL, Mount Gambier RSL before downing Penola 23-11 in the final.
The Port MacDonnell Ladies triples team of Heather Richards (sk), Judith Grosvenor and Suzzane Connell travelled to Naracoorte and had a bye in the first round then defeated Millicent and Penola before being defeated by Beachport 15-12 in a very even contest.
Heather Richards won the Ladies Singles and will represent the Port MacDonnell Bowling Club at the SE Region Champion of Champions at Naracoorte on May 6.
With three Champion of Champions winners it was a great result for the Bayside club.
The Bay Ladies went down to Mount Gambier RSL on Friday 36 shots to 57 and now face Millicent Red at Lucindale to reach the grand final.
Port MacDonnell 3rd Division defeated Millicent on Saturday 80 shots to 67 to advance to the preliminary final against Mount Gambier RSL Blue at Millicent.
