Round rests on doubles racquets

Division 1

West Gambier v Mount Schank/Mil Lel/Mount Gambier

West Gambier will host the Div 1 combined side this Saturday, with both teams going into this match suffering a loss the previous week with West falling short by only nine games.

In this match up West will be looking to dominate in the doubles, last week they played very well in the doubles, winning three out of the five doubles matches across the men’s and women’s sides of the draw.

Meanwhile the combined side will look to continue their form from their men’s bottom doubles match that picked up a good win last Saturday.

The men’s bottom doubles will be one to watch.

Reidy Park v Uniting

Reidy Park will face Uniting on Saturday at Olympic Park, with Uniting coming off a close win against West last week while Reidy rested up with the bye.

Uniting have continued their form from last season so far this year as they sit top of the ladder and undefeated.

Reidy’s last game before the bye was similar to Uniting’s last week where they defeated Glencoe on games.

Reidy’s ladies top doubles will be a key match up they will be looking to win as they currently have not lost that match this season.

This will be a good contest as Uniting have been very good in the doubles so far this season.

I think the doubles will play a crucial role with the result of the match on both sides of the draw.

Division 2

In division 2 West Gambier Red will host Mount Gambier as West Red look to get their first win.

Suttontown/Glencoe will face West Gambier Blue at Olympic Park as the combined side look to bounce back from a tough loss last week.

Division 3

In division 3 Uniting will host Mount Gambier as Gambier look to get back on the winners list and Uniting aim to make it back to back wins.

Mil Lel and Suttontown will hit the court in Mil Lel with the home side looking to come back from a loss to Uniting last weekend.

Mixed Doubles

Suttontown will take on Mount Schank on Saturday in mixed doubles with Mount Schank coming off their first win last week.

Moorak Green will play Mount Gambier Green in Moorak with Glencoe hosting the combined side in Uniting/Glencoe.

Mount Gambier Blue will face off against Moorak Gray on Saturday at Gambier.

Ladies Doubles

In ladies doubles West Gambier will host Mil Lel Green while Mil Lel White will take on Glencoe in Mil Lel.

Down at Mount Schank, Mount Schank will go up against Reidy Park.
