South Gambier closed in on Penola’s total as Somerfield raced towards a half century.
On 58 Penola finally got the breakthrough it was after with Somerfield caught LBW by Doyle, however he had already got his side into a good position.
The match went down to the final over, but Drenthen remained unfazed by the pressure as he set about getting the job done, with South claiming the win with five balls to spare.
