South Gambier v Millicent
Top of the ladder Millicent will head to Blue Lake Sports Park this week to take on second place South Gambier in a top of the table Limestone Coast Football Netball League clash.
Heading into this game Millicent has yet to lose a game this season, having won by 30+ points in all of their games.
The Saints have continued to play their physical style of football this year which is something they have perfected over the past few premiership seasons.
It should be interesting to see how South approaches this game with their new A Grade coach Peter Duncan being very familiar with Millicent considering he was an assistant coach for the Saints during their three-peat seasons.
This should be a great challenge for both sides with Millicent facing a strong, young side like South and for the Dees this match up has been a struggle for them over the past few years
Frazer Bradley will have to be at his best for the Saints in this game.
He has already kicked 15 goals in three games so far and will be looking to do some damage in this game.
South Gambier’s Mitch Sims will need to give it his all in this game.
Sims has been a workhorse for the Demons out of the guts, as he has been a player who loves to get into the contest and get the hard balls.
West Gambier v Casterton Sandford
The Cats will head to Malseed Park to take on the Roos this weekend.
West will go into this game with a lot of confidence after their win over South last week.
For Casterton they will be looking to improve on their performance from last week.
The Roos will be favourites in this game with how well they play at home and how they pulled out the win in last week’s game.
Lawrence Bradley-Brown will have to compete hard again this week for West.
He has been a big contributor towards the team’s success so far this season.
So far this season Harold Pritchard has been a good signing for the Cats, he has shown that he can do some damage on the scoreboard and he is looking like a player that can kick two or three goals a game.
North Gambier v East Gambier
East Gambier will take on North Gambier at Vansittart Park this Saturday.
The Tigers are coming off a 40 point victory over the Cats so going into this game they will be up and about after picking up their first win.
East are sure to be hungry as the Doggies are still looking for their first win.
For North to pick up another win they will need Brock Egan to have another good game.
Egan has had a solid season so far and has been consistently in the top performers for North.
Last week North Gambier’s Toby de Wit had a five goal game.
He has been their key forward over the past couple of seasons and when he has a good game it normally means the Tigers are playing well.
The Doggies have shown flashes of good play this season but they have not been able to bring it all together yet.
Last week they had plenty of shots at goal but struggled to convert, kicking 11 points.
East’s Riley Flamank was a bright spot in last week’s defeat, kicking six goals in the game.
This shows they have the talent to win games but they just need to play more consistent footy.
