The region’s rich Scottish heritage came to the fore on Saturday with a fair at Glencoe to mark International Day of the Tartan.
Hundreds took the opportunity to have a day out at the Glencoe Public Hall and historic Leake brothers Woolshed with some wearing tartan.
Among the attractions were food stalls, vintage stationary engines, hay rides with Clydesdales, vintage cars, Highland dancers and four Highland pipe bands featuring bagpipes.
Among the community groups to have promotional booths were the Limestone Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group and Army Reserve.
Glencoe National Trust committee member and historian John Berger was on hand to explain the operations of the heritage-listed woolshed.
The event was the brainchild of organiser Alec Hamilton who said the International Day of the Tartan was marked each July 1 to celebrate the return of clan tartans to the Scottish clans.
