Seasons on the line

The finals action of the 2022 Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Netball Association season will get under way starting with this Saturday’s qualifying final when Border Districts take on Keith.

The last time these two teams met was back in round 15 and it was the Hawks who got the win by a mere seven goals on home soil.

Back in this game scoring from each team was constant across the four quarters and it should not be any different come 3pm Saturday.

Border Districts will look to Kelsie and Poppy Moyle-Read to head the attack along with Emma Hausler.

The Crows will look to Erika Lamont, who will be a target under the ring alongside Stephanie Lubcke.

This game will be a close one and will go right down to the final whistle.

Last year’s premiers Penola face a must-win scenario to keep its defence alive in an elimination final against Kybybolite.

With the loser bowing out of the 2022 season finals race and the winner advancing to the next challenge there is everything to play for.

These two sides last faced off against each other in round 15 and it was a close encounter with the Tigers coming out on top by a slender two-goal margin.

Both sides have some quality players that will attribute to either team and will match up very well.

The Eagles will be seeking revenge from the last time they meet and keep their hopes of back to back success alive while the Tigers will be roaring on their parade if successful.

April Possingham and Ashley Earl will lead Penola on the court as the top shooters with Brooke Klemm in support while for Mundulla Paige Marra alongside Kelsie Hinge will be a key.

It shapes up as another game too close to call.
