Seniors hit road for change of scenery

After a winter marked by COVID infections and shutdowns, a group of Millicent’s Sheoak Lodge aged care residents were delighted to board a bus recently for a scenic tour of Mount Gambier’s Blue Lake and Valley Lakes
precinct.

The trip concluded with lunch at the Mount Gambier Community RSL and an inspection around the RSL Museum.

Among the tour party showing a keen interest in the museum was Joan Greenwood who emigrated with her family to Australia from the United Kingdom in 1964.

Her late husband Bill Greenwood had served with the Royal Air Force during World War II.

The Limestone Coast Local Health Network thanked the Mount Gambier vehicle dealership Carlin and Gazzard for the loan of a bus which made the trip possible.
