Nominations have been called for the 33rd consecutive year for a popular annual award in the Wattle Range Council area.
First given out in 1991 and known as the Millicent Senior of the Year, the award recognises the worthy and older citizens of this community.
The award coincides each year with Seniors Month which is held around the State in October and organised locally by Wattle Range Council.
To be eligible, a person must be at least 60 years of age.
Nominations must be lodged on the set form and submitted to Wattle Range Council by October 16.
As in past years, the presentation to the Wattle Range Council Senior of the Year will be made at a gala function at the Millicent War Memorial Civic and Arts Centre on October 31.
Nomination forms are available from regional council offices, Millicent Newsagency and various agencies.
