Seniors Month in full swing

Many activities are being held in Penola as part of the Wattle Range Council Seniors month.

Last week local Sri Lankan chef Lucky entertained more than 20 people in Rymill Hall with a demonstration of how to cook Sri Lankan cuisine.

On the menu was red lentil dal and chicken curry with rice and papadams.

Chef Lucky explained step-by-step about all the different types of spices that he used.

Those attending were served up a hearty Sri Lankan meal which was well received.

Lucky is head chef at the Royal Oak Hotel in Penola and in 2024 he is heading to Dubai to participate in the Chef Olympics.
