Softball return pitched

There is talk around Millicent about the possibility of restarting a softball team for the first time in well over a decade.

The dormant Millicent Softball Association formerly played its matches at Bolton Oval but has long been in recess due to waning interest and other issues.

According to social media reports, there will be a Millicent softball team submitted into the Mount Gambier Softball League starting in October.

Trainings will take place in Millicent with all games played at the Blue Lake Sports Park in Mount Gambier.

If these plans come to fruition, the competition will have six teams.

Organisers of the Millicent team are looking to get sponsors on board to help with gear packs and uniforms.
