Speeding drink driver to face court

A man has lost his licence and will face court after being caught speeding and drink driving in the South East over the weekend.

Just after 9pm on Saturday, October 17, Penola police detected a Toyota Starlet travelling at 74kmh in a 60kmh zone on Riddoch Highway at Nangwarry.

The driver, a 55-year-old man from Nangwarry, submitted to a breath test and returned a positive result of 0.139.

The man lost his licence on the spot for six months and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.

He will be summoned to attend court at a later date.
